Result Of Abia-South PDP Senatorial Primary Election


Primary Election of our Great Party; PDP, to elect the Party’s Candidate for 2023 Abia-South Senatorial District, was held today at the famous Enyimba Stadium, Aba.

The Party Officials that conducted the election, were led by a former Chairman of the Party in the State, Pharmacist, Chief Ndidi Okereke, who hails from Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia-North, while the Secretary is the Youth Leader of the Party in the State, Chief Patrick Onwuka. As was expected, Chief Okereke made their objective known.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission were present to observe the exercise.

In the tradition of such an exercise, accreditation and voting took place simultaneously.

The Governor of the State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D, stood as the soul Aspirant and, therefore, emerged victorioysly unopposed.
He garnered a total of One Hundred and Ninety-Seven votes out of One Hundred and Ninety-Eight, as one out of the six National Delegates in the Senatorial District was unavoidably absent.

In his post election speech, Governor Ikpeazu, who obviously was elated, thanked the Delegates and assured them of responsible and responsive representation in the Senate.

Typical of such colourful gatherings of Political Big Wigs, Photo Shops were bound to spring up.
