Ikpeazu’s Senatorial Ambition Receives Major Boost As APC Members Dump Party For PDP Ahead Of Polls

The move which is in solidarity with the ambition of Governor Ikpeazu to represent the Abia South Senatorial District had the former members of the APC pledging total support to ensure all PDP candidates emerge victorious in the coming polls.

Speaking at the event which took place during the flag off of his Senatorial campaign held at Umukalika in Obingwa LGA Governor Okezie Ikpeazu thanked them for the massive show of love and support adding that he came to his kinsmen to get their blessings for his Senatorial ambition.

Ikpeazu noted that his overall ambition for the senate is to change the narratives in Abia South senatorial District by

mainstreaming the welfare of Women, Youths and Children in the area.

He said that his stewardship for the past seven years will definitely guarantee his victory in the February 25th polls noting that it is the culture of his people to reward good.

The Governor thanked the entire Obingwa people for believing in him and urged them to vote for him, Professor Uche Ikonne,Chief Chinwe Nwanganga, Solomon Akpulonu and Erondu Uchenna Erondu for more democracy dividends.

Speaking the state PDP Governorship Candidate Professor Uche Ikonne represented by the deputy Chief of Staff office of the deputy Governor Sir Don Ubani promised that in addition to his tiger economy,he will consolidate and improve on the achievements of Governor Ikpeazu if elected the next Governor.

In their separate speeches the candidate for Osisioma-Ugwunagbo-Obingwa federal Constituency Chief Chinwe Nwanganga, the member representing Obingwa East Mr Solomon Akpulonu and candidate for Obingwa West Mr Erondu Uchenna Erondu Junior said God has through Governor Okezie Ikpeazu empowered them and assured that they will continue to be good Ambassadors of the Governor where ever they find themselves, describing the PDP as the only option for Abians.

Also speaking, the Chairman PDP Campaign Council Obingwa LGA Chief Ezinwa Abiri ,Elder Godwin Nna and Mrs Adline Anucha said the people of Abia South senatorial District have been shortchanged for years, adding that they have resolved to send Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who has the capability to provide them the needed quality and effective representation.

In their speeches, the former Abia South zonal Chairman of APC,Deacon Orji Chikezirim and former Woman Leader of APC Mrs Adaku Abel who defected with Local government Executives and hundreds of supporters of the APC said Ikpeazu has redefined leadership thereby endearing him to his teaming supporters, pointing out that their exit from the party marks the downfall of APC in the area.

Receiving the decampees on behalf of the party,Chief Ibe Nwadioha assured that they will enjoy all rights and privileges being enjoyed by members as the PDP adding that the party is big to accommodate everyone.
