Gov. Ikpeazu expresses total support to Financial Inclusion Agent Campaign

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has says the present administration is determined in it’s resolve to provide necessary support to the Financial Inclusion Agent Campaign to enable them achieve their goals in the State.
Dr Ikpeazu who stated this when the National Coordinator, Financial Inclusion Campaign Agent on Boarding And Beneficiary Financing, Prince Amezhinim Atuma and delegation paid him a courtesy visit at Govterment House, Umuahia promised that they will operate their program in the State with ease as Government has painstakingly provided an enabling environment for business to thrive.
The Governor represented by his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu described their program in the State as a wonderful development as it entails the empowerment of Abians in the sense that citizens in the rural areas to have access to banking facilities, while those outside the banking sector will be used as agents in partnership with the Federal Government.
He reiterated that Government will not relent in encouraging and promoting SMEs development among Abia youths inorder to harness their full potentials which are seen in the various exploits artisans have recorded in the production of made in Aba products in high demand in the national and global markets.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, NGO matters and Social Development, Dr Francis Origa said the launch of the program is to connect and integrate Abians into a highly designed financial inclusion program and commissioning of over one hundred and seventy enlisted agents and coordinators to push and campaign massively to connect five hundred thousand Abians into the financial scheme by through partnership with the State Government.
Also speaking, the National Coordinator, Financial Inclusion Campaign Agent On Boarding And Beneficiary Financing, Prince Amezhinim Atuma disclosed that their partners, Odio Cooperative and Credit Society in line with the CBN cashless policy is designed to empower and connect Nigerians into financial scheme through partnership with the registered institutions, Ministry, department and agencies of Govterment, international community as well as recognized private sector investors.
Prince Atuma who is also the Managing Director of Odioku Sky Ltd said the program will also bring about socio and economic development of Abia citizens commended the Governor for his financial empowerment of Abia youths and solicits for the cooperation of Government and Abians for further partnership towards making Abia a hub for financial inclusion.
