2023: Ukwa-East Endorses Ikpeazu, Ikonne, Nkwonta Others

Political office holders in Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state have endorsed People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates, contesting for all offices in 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the Ohambele Ndoki, Abia state, the group resolved to work for the success of all candidates of PDP, adding that PDP is the only party that has all it takes to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

Speaking with newsmen on the development, the Honourable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barr. Tony Nwamuo, has described PDP flagbearers in Abia state as people of great repute, with clear vision on how to improve the livelihood of the electorates.

He called on Abians to continue to support Gov Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration and senatorial bid, as well as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for President, Prof Uche Ikonne for Abia guber seat, Sir Chris Nkwonta for House of Representatives, Hon. Lewis Obianyi for Ukwa-East State Constituency, come 2023 general polls.

Contributing, the Executive Chairman Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA), Hon Chuks Wabara has commended all political appointees both at the National, State and Local Government levels present at the meeting, for being steadfast in their support and efforts towards clinching victory for the PDP in next year’s elections, insisting that it would end in praise.

Meanwhile, the PDP Ukwa-East LGA chairman, Hon. Okechi Nwaohu has hailed the Gov. Ikpeazu, for laying a solid foundation for a smooth take-off of their campaign, maintaining that the developmental strides of the Governor, in the past seven years, would make 2023 polls easier for PDP.

He expressed optimism that PDP would win at all levels in 2023 elections.

In his remark, the Deputy Majority Leader, Abia State House of Assembly and the Ukwa-East LGA PDP campaign council Coordinator, Hon. Taribo Paul has also expressed confidence on the competence and character of all PDP candidates, and called on the people of Ukwa-East to give them maximum support.
